FIND YOUR SIZE
The kaftan dress is a very easy fit and since it is a-line shaped use your chest measurement for sizing. If you have broad hips you could also check your seat measurement to ensure you get that "kaftan flow".

I enjoyed making this except for the neck where the front piece folds over, it took me a while to understand the instructions and then it worked. I do find the pattern quite large and would make the size smaller next time around.
I enjoyed making this and was able to chose some bright large print design for the fabric. The pleat at the front took a bit of working out from the diagrams and I did look to see if you have short video on your website - which you don’t. The kaftan looks great to wear, I may have preferred slightly less cleavage.
Hi Ann, glad you like the pattern and many thanks for the great feedback! There will be tutorial videos made and added to the site later this Autumn.
I just recently found The Assembly Line as company and patternmakers. And I love them! This Kaftan dress var easy to make even though it was my first go at mitred corners. The instructions were on point and simple to follow. Now I made this near the end of summer and didn’t get to wear it as much as I wanted to, but I know it will be next summer!
Again an awesome pattern, easy to make and easy to wear....it’s really comfortable. I love the raglan sleeves and the sliths at the side. I shortend it by 20 cm , just my personal taste cause i’m only 1.63 cm tall and never worn a long dress. Used a rayon for a flowy and drapy look. Next one gonna be a full lenght linen.......just LOVE TAL patterns, and i’m not done with em yet, not by a long shot!
