Drawstring vest is a layering piece that can be styled in multiple ways. Designed with a cropped silhouette, it features open sides with adjustable drawstring toggles, a zip-front closure, and welt pockets. The elastic drawstring runs across the entire back panel and extends partially into the front, allowing you to adjust the waist for a more fitted or relaxed look. Customize your collared vest with the optional zip placket, or choose the hooded version for added versatility.
Available in sizes S, L, and 3XL. The hoodless version is also available in a kid’s size – MINI.
Styling Inspiration
The dark blue vest is paired with our Oversized shirt and High-waisted trousers.
The black hooded vest is styled with the High cuff sweater and Barrel leg trousers.
The model is 170 cm tall and wears size S.

DIGITAL PDF
Upon purchase, you will instantly receive the digital pattern as PDF files in a zipped file, both via email and in our shop. Simply print, assemble, and you’re ready to start sewing.
The digital PDF pattern is layered, allowing you to print individual sizes if needed. We provide instructions on how to print on both A4 and US Letter paper sizes here, here and here. If you'd prefer to have the large-scale A0 version printed professionally, our customers have recommended their favourite independent print services for PDF patterns here.
You will receive the following files:
- Print at home sewing pattern - set to print on A4 or equivalent paper size, 57 pages
- Print at home sewing pattern - set to print on US Letter or equivalent paper size, 64 pages
- Large format printshop file, paper size A0, 3 pages
- The assembly instruction in English.
PLEASE NOTE: Refunds are not applicable for digital PDF patterns.
PAPER
The paper pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with step-by-step assembly instruction, in English or Swedish.

Suggested fabrics are medium weight fabrics, for example prequilted. We use fabric from Rekotex, which repurposes high-quality surplus fabric from leading fashion brands.
You will also need:
- Separating zipper: Mini 40/50 cm, S 50/60 cm, L 55/65 cm, 3XL 60/70 cm
- Elastic drawstring cord waist 3-5 mm diameter - incl. extra cord in each side: Mini 123 cm (83), S 155 cm (105), L 200 cm (120), 3XL 235 cm (135) (brackets = canal measurement)
- Drawstring cord lock / toggles: 2 pcs.
- Eyelets 5-6 mm diameter: 2 pcs.
- Matching thread
- Fusible interfacing (can be left out if using a tightly woven heavy weight fabric)
Optional - only if making the collar vest with a placket:
- Push buttons 6-10 mm diameter: 2 pcs
Optional - only if making the hood:
- Elastic drawstring cord hood 3-5 mm diameter - incl. extra cord in each side: S 110 cm (80), L 110 cm (80), 3XL 110 cm (80) (brackets = canal measurements)
- Drawstring cord lock / toggles: 2 pcs.

We always aim to ship your order as soon as possible. From our shipping date, delivery times are in general as stated below:
Sweden: 2-3 working days
EU and Norway: 3-7 working days
Rest of the world: 8-10 working days
All items are sent from Sweden using Postnord.
For orders outside of EU, local taxes and/or custom fees may apply.
The shipping costs are:
Sweden: € 5.50
Rest of the world: € 10.50
Digital products:
For DIGITAL PDF sewing patterns, your 14-day right of withdrawal may end when delivery of the digital content begins, provided that you have expressly requested immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the digital content is faulty or does not conform to the contract.

Physical products:
If you need to return a PAPER pattern order for any reason, we offer a standard 14-day return policy based on the date you received your product. To exercise your right of withdrawal for physical patterns easily and instantly, please use our online Withdrawal Form.
Alternatively, you can contact us at hello@theassemblylineshop.com for instructions.
You may examine the product as necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and functioning. If the product has been handled beyond what is necessary, we may, where permitted by applicable consumer law, make a deduction for any diminished value.
We do not accept returns due to change of mind on products that have been altered or cut after purchase, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method. You will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law. Once we have received your returned item, or you have provided evidence that you have sent it back, we will process your refund without undue delay and within the applicable legal time limit.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY GOODS
If you receive a product that is damaged or faulty, please contact us at hello@theassemblylineshop.com as soon as reasonably possible.
Please include your order number and a description of the issue. Photos may be helpful when showing damage or a defect.
This does not affect your statutory consumer rights. If a product does not conform to the contract or is faulty, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement free of charge. Depending on the circumstances, a price reduction or refund may also be available.
Where a return is required because of a fault or non-conformity, we will reimburse reasonable return delivery costs. Please retain your proof of postage.
