Important instructions missing/unclear
I bought this pattern ages ago so maybe it's been updated, but there are some important instructions missing and I ended up with a failed piece... The pattern refers to notches that aren't on the paper pieces, and the written instructions aren't clear about various steps: most importantly when you should sew the turned-over placket under the collar while attaching it. It would have been helpful to have this written down explicitly in the text, rather than just illustrated. Opening up the collar to get the placket underneath ended up fraying the fabric (especially because I'd already notched the corner, per the instructions), so I couldn't get a neat edge in the final piece. It was ruined. The cuff instructions are also pretty incoherent, so I ended up having to improvise there. Even if I hadn't ruined the collar, I really didn't like how many raw or semi-raw edges were being left within the final piece, mainly under the placket and inside the sleeves. Likewise with the lower hem, just overlocked and turned over: yuck. If you're using a looser-weave or poly-blend fabric, it's going to fall apart in those areas pretty quickly, and it just feels messy and unprofessional. Adding some instructions to overlock raw edges before piecing them together would improve the pattern, along with the instructions noted above. I've really enjoyed my (many) Assembly Line patterns, but this one was *really* disappointing. Expensive fabric and pattern, both wasted because of badly drafted instructions. Runs really large.

Hi Gemma, thank you for letting us know. And so, so sorry to hear about your disappointing experience! We will go through the instructions and see where to improve. Best regards, Anki
Cute shirt with little fabric
As always, the pattern is well constructed with clear directions. It's a great make that uses very little fabric so it's perfect shirt when you only have a small piece to work with. I have already made two! But one was a little heavier fabric and the overall look is not as good as with a lighter, softer fabric. The oversized style and fit seem to lend themselves to a softer fabric that will hang nicely around a French tuck into my favourite jeans!
Runs very big
Directions are excellent, easy to use and assemble. Just runs quite large so will size down a couple sizes next time!
Very easy to understand instructions. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on this one!
