OUR MOST LOVED PATTERN

Easy and satisfying to make yet elegant, the Cuff Top is our most loved pattern and almost addictive to make. It has a straight fit and cap sleeves with wide elastic cuffs. The smaller size range comes with a boat neck and the larger size range has a keyhole opening with button at back.

The blue top is styled together with our Almost long trousers and the green top is combined with our Three pleat skirt and Apron dress.

Model is 170 cm tall and wearing a size S.

Nice design, however not ‘very easy’, more like ‘easy’

Returned to sewing in covid lockdown. Made the box pleat dress which is great. Decided to try the cuff top pattern. Some parts are easy, some are not. I found the neckline very fiddly, the neck facing was not the same size as the main pieces. Had to sew some ease stitching on the front and back to get it to fit.that has affected the neckline lying flat. Cuffs are also quite fiddly to get right. I found it helpful watching the YouTube video someone posted as a link for doing the cuffs. Anyway very nice once I had overcome these hitches. I lengthened it by 10cm. I am 5’8” and find the TAL patterns too short unaltered. Will make again.

Classy, understated style

Great pattern to follow; a lovely easy sew and a pattern that I know I will use time and time again as I think it will look great in a number of different types of fabric.

Great wardrobe basic

Not all boxy top patterns are created equal. This is a simple top, but well drafted and easy to modify for fit ( I needed a small ‘high round back’). It looks great and gets a lot of complements
