A romantic midi dress that still keeps the attitude, based on your love for the Cuff Top. The Cuff Dress has a timeless design and features a round neck with a keyhole opening in the back, side pockets, elastic waist, and cap sleeves with elasticated cuffs.
The model in the white dress is 170 cm tall and wearing a size S, and the model in the black dress is 165 cm tall and wearing a shortened XL.

The Cuff dress is a design with a lot of width. Size range XS-L differs in relation to the Cuff top, with more chest width and under arm curve. Size range XL-3XL are similar to the Cuff top XL-4XL, but still the dress has more chest width.
To get the right Cuff dress attitude use your body measurements for both chest, waist and seat when choosing size. If you've previously made the Cuff top with a perfect fit, we recommend that you use the same size for the dress.

Fabric & Trims
Fabric needed:

Suggested fabrics are light to medium light weight fabrics such as cotton, silk, lawn, linen, crepe de chine or wool crepe.
The navy blue Cuff dress is sewn in papertouch cotton poplin from Minerva and the black Cuff dress is sewn in tencel crepe from MeterMeter.
You will also need:
- Fusible interfacing 0.3 m
- Elastic tape width 30 mm, suggested length:
- XS 131 cm / S 145 cm / M 159 cm / L 175 cm / XL 197 cm / 2XL 215 cm / 3XL 233 cm
- Matching thread
- 1 sew-in button

This is a multi-size pattern, see options.
Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
PAPER
The paper pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with step-by-step assembly instruction, in English or Swedish.
The digital pattern includes PDF files that you receive instantly (in our shop and by email) after purchase. Simply print, construct and you are ready to sew. The A4 and US Letter patterns are layered, if you wish to print separate sizes. We'll show you how to do it here, here and here!
You will receive the following files:
- Print at home sewing pattern - set to print on A4 or equivalent paper size (XS-L 40 pages, XL-4XL 45 pages).
- Print at home sewing pattern - set to print on US Letter or equivalent paper size (XS-L 40 pages, XL-4XL 50 pages).
- Large format printshop file, paper size A0 (XS-L 2 pages, XL-4XL 3 pages).
- The assembly instruction in English.

We always aim to ship your order as soon as possible. From our shipping date, delivery times are in general as stated below:
Sweden: 2-3 working days
EU and Norway: 3-5 working days
Rest of the world: 5-7 working days
All items are sent from Sweden using Postnord.
For orders outside of EU, local taxes and/or custom fees may apply.
The shipping costs are:
Sweden: € 4.50
Rest of the world: € 9.50
14 DAY RETURN POLICY
If you need to return your paper pattern for any reason, we'll happily provide you with an exchange or full refund. We offer a 14 day return policy on your order, based on the date you received your product. Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
All digital products are non refundable.
The item being returned must be unused, in full original packaging and undamaged. We do not accept returns due to change of heart on any cut pattern, fabric or trims.
To return your product, you first get in touch with us at hello@theassemblylineshop.com to get further instructions and address details. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
If you are shipping an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 30 days. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
DAMAGED ITEMS
If an item is damaged we cannot accept returns on cut patterns.
Where possible we will try and replace your purchased item, if this is not possible we will issue a full refund including shipping costs. You will be refunded by the original method of payment.
We will reimburse any delivery costs you incur returning the item to us so please retain proof of postage.

Czech RepublicTimeless peace for everyday
The pattern is very easy to follow and easy to sew. I have made few alternations - sleaves longer, bodice shorter, adjusted the hem on the skirt and now I´m very happy with the result and will make some more out of linen and other suitable fabric. I strongly recommend choosing a size smaller than the size chart says - my first muslin version was way to large.

Very good instruction and quite easy to make. I put a taffeta lining in the skirt for a better feel with stockings on. A little on the large side, feels somewhat boxy in heavy fabric, probably better go down one size.

It was my third TAL pattern and the pattern and instructions make perfect sense. I decided to go for the XS size even though the size chart advised S. But from previous pattern, I noticed that I am usually between XS and S and this is a roomy design. I picked a washed linen and it’s a perfect for English summer when it’s sunny but never too warm .

I really enjoyed sewing up this pattern. It came together easily and looks and fits fantastic! I did make an XL size even though my measurements put me in the bottom end of a 2XL. I have made two dresses so far and have 2 more in the works. Definitely a TNT pattern for me.
