I really liked the details of the stitches on the centre of the design and also the sleeves. The instruction was clear and easy to follow, although I find the boat neck a little challenging to sew neatly but I managed to do it the second time round. The neckline was a little high and I was later told that there’s an option to lower the neckline. It was a generous cutting as it’s meant to be a loose fit. So if you prefer a more fitting look, you may want to size down. It is a perfect pattern if you’re trying out sewing as a beginner and if you only have 1 metre length of fabric :).

First of many
I haven’t done any dressmaking for years, I treated myself to an over locker two years ago and today I cut out and overlocked (for the first time ever) and made my first cuff top. I hoped it would be the top of dreams I had searched for but could never find in the shops. Not too tight, not too baggy, no buttons at the neckline to snag my hair in and sleeves that finish at the elbow. I’m so pleased how it turned out, I'm already digging through my stash to see what other fabrics I can use. What a fabulous pattern, I used a heavy weight linen so didn’t need to use interfacing. I made an error on the seam allowance for sewing the front and back halves together (I’m a quilter so imperial is second nature) but it was easily sorted with an adjustment to the interfacing. The elastic was a bit daunting but apart from a couple of small tucks under the arms they turned out great too. Thoroughly recommend this pattern, if a numpty like me can make it, anyone can.

Perfect pattern and top
I really enjoyed to sew this pattern. I used a beautiful crepe fabrics that emphasis the minimalism style of the top. I sewed flat seams and only used the serger for the sleeve hems to enable the attachment of the elastics. I reduced the lenght so that I can wear it outside trousers and skirts that are high in the waist.

Made and made again
Just love this too. I have made this over and over, and love each one. I have also adapted this pattern it is such a good basic.
